The family and I had a BBQ, watched fireworks and marathoned Big Bang Theory. It was awesome. ♥ I hope everyone had a ~*fabulous*~ holiday!

Star Trek in IMAX last night was fan-freakin'-tastic. The combination of LENSFLARE and GQMFs in glorious IMAX was almost enough awesomeness to melt my eyeballs. Also? The hubby loved it. I WIN! \o/

The cinnamon rolls I talked about yesterday turned out amazing. I wish I snapped a picture of them before they were devoured by the family. I will definitely be making these again.

So. My hubby's been home from deployment for a few days and it's been awesome. We have a babysitter for the kids tonight (OMG YAY!!!) and I'm dragging him to see Star Trek. In IMAX. It will be EPIC. He doesn't want to see Trek though. I keep telling him he's going to love it but he doesn't believe me. :( He kind of turns his nose up at it and is like "But it's Star Trek." He just needs to realize that I am always right. I mean he used to hate on Buffy and then I got him hooked on it. Same with Firefly and especially Doctor Who. His love for Who almost rivals my own. I'm hoping he comes out of the theater thinking it's totally awesome (because hello! it is!) and then maybe we can marathon the series and he'll actually watch it with me.

anyhoo, I'm in the middle of making Cinnamon Rolls. NOMNOMNOM If they turn out as good as I'm hoping, I'll post the recipe later. :)

In less than 3 hours I'll be heading over to the base. Why? Deployment is over and my husband's coming home bbs! I am freaking the fuck out. God I can't wait. \o/

I really should be sleeping right now because I have a shitload fo stuff to do later today but Lily woke up at midnight for a feeding and now I can't get back to sleep. Oh well.

- I'm seriously considering doing a Xena rewatch for the hotness of Karl Urban.
- I was at Frys yesterday and saw a single copy of So NoTORIous on the shelf. $22 later and it's now in my dvd player. I love ZQ as Sasan.

Wow, I didn't realize how much time had past since I was last on LJ. It's been forever since I've posted. I had to take a break to deal with some epic crazy that was happening in RL for a while. I've missed you internet and fandom!

- Best thing that happened over the past year? I had a baby girl! Lily Charlotte Anne-Marie is now 3 months old and I swear she gets cuter everyday. I love being a Mom. ♥ My family still thinks the hubby and I are batshit for having three kids under the age of 5. Yeah, it's crazy and chaotic around the house but it's chaos of the best kind.

- Got another cat. He's a ridiculous spastic fluffball that fits right in with the family. Technically he's the hubby's cat and he named him Xander. So now we have a cat named Xander and a dog named Buffy...my hubby is such a fanboy. XD

Also, currently suffering through the hubby's second deployment. He's been gone since January but OMFG YAY comes home this month.

I faaaail. Forgive me for not being existent lately. Real life has been making me it's bitch. *sigh* There's been a lot of crazy stuff going on. ;___; Also, the dog decided the computer cables looked like tasty treats. *facepalm* Destructive puppy is destructive. :(

Anyhoo, some stuff thats been going on lately...

• My hubby's ship is underway. He doesn't get back until the end of next month. ...I'm kind of jealous because he's going to be in Vancouver for a week. He gets to do all the fun stuff. *pout*


• Had central air conditioning FINALLY installed in the house. No more feeling like I'm going to die of heat stoke in the summer! \o/


• I need to be banned from shopping. I've been spending way too much money lately. Why does shopping have to be so much fun? D:


• Went out to dinner with friends to this place last night. It was SO GOOD. OMNOMNOMNOM.

Now I'm off to catch up on manga chapters and fic I've missed. YAY!
